Giles Langford
MRICS
Chartered Residential Surveyor & Registered Valuer
Lone Star Surveyors was founded by Giles Langford MRICS, a Chartered Surveyor with extensive experience inspecting residential properties across Gloucestershire, Bristol and the wider Cotswolds.
Having spent many years surveying homes in the region, Giles has developed a deep understanding of the character and construction of local properties, from modern family homes to historic Cotswold stone cottages and period buildings.
His experience includes carrying out RICS Level 2 Home Surveys, Level 3 Building Surveys and residential property valuations, often helping buyers navigate the complexities of older buildings and unusual construction types found throughout the Cotswolds.
Why Lone Star Surveyors Was Founded
After many years working within larger surveying practices, Giles established Lone Star Surveyors to offer something many clients were looking for but rarely received — a more personal, transparent and thorough surveying service.
Property surveys are often delivered as technical reports with little explanation or opportunity for discussion. Lone Star was created to change that.
The aim is simple:
Provide clear advice, modern inspection methods and direct access to the surveyor carrying out the work.
Clients receive not just a report, but a full understanding of the property they are considering buying.
Local Knowledge That Makes a Difference
The Cotswolds contain some of the most distinctive residential architecture in the UK. Many homes are built using traditional materials and historic construction techniques, which require careful inspection and local knowledge.
A Modern Approach to Residential Surveys
Lone Star Surveyors combines traditional professional surveying standards with modern inspection techniques and clear communication.
Professional Standards You Can Trust
